Confirmation is a Sacrament of Initiation into the Catholic Church.  After having received baptism and recevied first communion, and having reached at least the age of 12 will be eligible to receive this Sacrament of Grace.  We use the program Confirmed in the Spirit from Loyola Press.  We bring our faith to live with small group discussion, outings and acitvities, and litrugical events to round out our year. 

This program is for all students in grades 8-above from St. Vincent de Paul and St. Frances Cabrini Parishes

Classes are held on Monday evenings 6:30-7:45PM in our Library building at SVDP Church.

Classes begin in September 2024 

At our parish, we Confirm beginning in the 8th grade following a year of preparation. Students must have attended at least one year of catechesis before.

The Sacrament of Confirmaiton is held each year for our cluster parishes of St. Vincent de Paul, St. Frances Cabrini, and Sacred Heart Chapel and new the young people of  St. Joseph in Amherst and Nativity in South Amherst wll join us. Confirmation will be held in the Spring.  Each year, the location is rotated.

This year, 2025, the Sacrament will be held a Sacred Heart Chapel- Lorain
